Video: The Falling Water House – PBS Documentary made in 1987 (27 min)

This is a deceptively retro, highly fascinating PBS documentary that tells the story of America’s most famous home – Fallingwater. Comprising interviews of people working for Frank Lloyd Wright (aka FLLW) responsible for the project, and an insider perspective of the dynamic between FLLW and Edgar J. Kaufmann, the Pittsburgh department store magnate as told by his son Edgar Kauffmann, Jr. Watching this, I get the sense this was one of those incredibly rare confluences leading to the creating of something beautiful far beyond the imagination of any one individual.
