Malcolm Gladwell – Revisionist History (Podcast series)
Many have heard of Malcolm Gladwell through his witty, insightful New Yorker articles and books that include Blink, Outliers, The Tipping Point and What the Dog Saw. He brings his unique ability to frame what is right in front of us new ways – which once seen, can’t be “un-seen.” I think of his pointing out in Outliers: The Story of Success how great achievers such as The Beatles (and Bill Gates, for that matter), got there by putting at least 10,000 hours honing their craft before catapulting into wealth and renown.
Here, Gladwell looks at revisionist history through a series of podcasts recommended by one of our nonfiction topic group members. In particular, episodes 4 through 6 are a mini-series on revisionist history in education which you may find particularly informative.
